Abstract

Introduction. Chronic pain in perineal area is a complex syndrome which concern many patients but it is still poorly understood. There exists a conviction between physicians about difficulty in perineal pain treatment. An efficacy seems also to be poor. In this article authors present the treatment’s options giving 6 person as an example.
Material and methods. All patients hospitalized with chronic perineal pain were analyzed.
Results. Complete cure was observed only in one case. Reduction of the intensity of pain was possible only when a complex therapy was introduced.
Conclusions. In spite of the fact that the perineal pain syndrome causes difficulties, as for evaluation as for treat, pain relief can be provided to almost all patients using currently available treatment strategies. In the treatment of perineal pain combined treatment strategies should be used.
